NORMAL, Ill. – On Thursday, February 25, the Illinois State Athletics Department along with the entire Illinois State University community took part in the second ever Birds Give Back: 1 Day for Change. Through the University-wide day of philanthropy, alumni, faculty/staff, students, parents, friends, and the community were encouraged to donate funds to support their areas of interest at Illinois State.
Illinois State Athletics set a goal of $60,000 and 300 total gifts to help raise funds for investments into student-athlete sport performance. Thanks to the generous support of fans, alumni, family and former student-athletes, Redbird Athletics surpassed its goal by over $14,000.
