NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State men's and women's basketball teams will be hosting their annual Hoopfest event. This year the free event will be on Friday, October 15 after the women's volleyball match against Loyola at 6 p.m.
The event, sponsored by Papa John's, is the official kickoff to the 2021-22 basketball season and will include team and coach introductions, a three-point challenge, and scrimmages from both the men's and women's teams. The men's team will do a dunk line.
Additionally, as a special event for the young fans, both teams will be participating in a Simon Sez showdown, hosted by the Master of Simon Sez himself, Steve Max.
