ST. LOUIS — Bradley basketball made history Sunday in many ways.
Not only did the Braves win their first Missouri Valley Conference tournament since the event located on a neutral court in St. Louis 29 years ago, but they established milestones for how they accomplished the feat.
BU scored a mere 15 points in the first half — an all-time one-half low point total for a title game in the tournament’s 42-year history.
The Braves eventually fell behind Northern Iowa by 18 points in the second half before rallying for a 57-54 victory. It was the largest deficit overcome in an MVC tournament championship game.
