SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – The Missouri Valley Conference league office has announced this week's (10/13) women's soccer players of the week. Redbird Freshman Grace Petrie was named this week's MVC Freshman of the Week.
For the second consecutive week, Petrie has earned MVC Freshman of the Week honors. The Redbirds have now had a player for the seventh straight week, matching the longest streak since 2019.
On Saturday, Petrie helped the Redbirds pick up a 1-0 win over UNI in Cedar Falls. With the win, Illinois State has remained unbeaten in seven straight games.
