MOBILE, Ala. – Illinois State senior David Perkins carded an even-par 72 on the third and final day of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate to lead the Redbirds, as ISU remained in its spot in the team standings, closing the three-day tournament in 12th place overall with a final-round score of 295, and the tournament in 889 (300, 294, 295).
The Redbirds finished ahead of Southern Miss, the South Alabama "B" squad, and Michigan, while finishing just behind Lipscomb. Illinois won the event with a final-round 277 (-11), finishing the tournament 37 strokes under par with an 827.
