Junior Connor O'Brien of the Bradley baseball team was honored for his work on and off the field on Thursday as he was named to the Academic All-District Team, presented by CoSIDA.
O'Brien was one of four infielders from District 5 to earn the award – which includes all Division I student-athletes from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. He is now eligible for Academic All-America honors, which will be released on Wednesday, June 8.
On the field, the first baseman ranks among the nation's elite this season. He is currently 10th in the country with 1.
