PEORIA, Ill. – Junior Nikki Perlwitz (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay) has been named this week's Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after picking up a singles victory against I-74 rival Illinois State in the Missouri Valley Conference for Bradley Women's Tennis Sunday.
A 7-5, 6-4 winner at #6 singles against Illinois State's Elena Jankulovska, Perlwitz picked up her fourth win in her last five matches and is now just the seventh player in program history to reach 60 career singles victories. An international studies major, Perlwitz owns a 3.48 cumulative grade point average.
