PEORIA, Ill. – Junior Nikki Perlwitz (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay) has been named this week's Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after highlighting action for Bradley Women's Tennis at last weekend's Redbird Invitational by claiming the Flight 6 Singles title.
Perlwitz picked up three more wins and is a perfect 6-0 in singles play this Fall after claiming the Flight 6 Singles title this past weekend. She opened the weekend with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Elizabeth Ferdman of Marquette and followed it up with a 3-6, 6-3, 10-7 win against DePaul's Valentina Martin in Saturday's semifinals.
