After helping the Bradley baseball team to a series win against No. 16 Dallas Baptist over the weekend, senior Nick King collected Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week honors, announced by the league on Monday.
King played a key role in Friday's 5-3 victory against the nationally-ranked Patriots. Entering the game in the sixth inning with two men on and nobody out, King successfully got out of the jam and left a pair of runners in scoring position thanks to two strikeouts. Overall, the senior pitched four scoreless innings as Bradley turned a 3-1 deficit into a 5-3 victory – earning King's second win of the season.
