NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State will look to extend its winning streak to five on Sunday, when the Redbirds (10-5) continue Missouri Valley Conference play Missouri State (0-13) at 10 a.m. at the Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington.
The Redbirds head into the weekend as winners of their last four matches, including last weekend's MVC opener against Bradley and Wednesday's non-conference matchup against Saint Louis.
The Redbirds scored the first point of the day against the Billikens after securing two wins in the doubles competition. The No. 3 duo of Laura Fitzgerald and Alexandra Abyasova rolled to a 6-0 win to improved to 19-2 overall this season as a tandem.
