NORMAL — For Illinois State basketball coach Dan Muller, there can be no rest until a Missouri Valley Conference championship is secured.
Muller and his assistants have been on the road recruiting nonstop since March 4, when they ended the season with a disappointing loss to Indiana State in the MVC Tournament quarterfinals.
That ended an 18-14 campaign that started slowly against a brutal nonconference schedule. The Redbirds recovered to win nine of their last 12 regular-season games and tied for second place with a 12-6 mark in the Valley. That was ISU's highest finish since 2008.
