Normal, Ill. - After a strong showing at the Purdue Invitational last week Illinois State senior swimmer Madyson Morse was named the MVC Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. Illinois State Swimming and Diving athletes have now secured MVC Swimmer, Diver and Freshman of the Week honors this season as Morse is the first to earn MVC Swimmer of the Week honors.
Morse broke the school's 100-yard Breaststroke record twice in the same day at Purdue. She recorded a time of 1:01.90 in the prelims Wednesday morning to break Jensen Keck's 2017 mark of 1:02.
