NORMAL, Ill. – The Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Year Milik Yarbrough was named team Most Valuable Player, while Phil Fayne earned four of the program's 10 awards announced at the team banquet on Monday evening.
Yarbrough was one of three student-athletes across the country to rank inside of his conference's top-five in points, rebounds, and assists. His overall numbers during the season – 531 points, 210 rebounds, 152 assists – put him in elite company, as just the 29th student-athlete in the NCAA since 1992-93 to put up those numbers.
