KIRKWOOD, Mo. – Freshman Kathryn McNease is two shots off the lead in a tie for third after an opening-round four-over 75 and Bradley Women's Golf is tied with Southern Illinois for seventh in the team standings, five strokes out of a tie for third after Sunday's opening round of play at the 2022 Missouri Valley Conference Championship.
McNease posted her lowest round since late September, firing a four-over 75 Sunday at the par-71 Greenbriar Hills Country Club on the first day action at the MVC Championship. She finished the day in a three-way tie for third, two shots back of co-leaders Hannah Bermel of UNI and Evansville's Mallory Russell, who both fired two-over 73's in the opening round.
