NORMAL, Ill. – Each year a deserving Illinois State gymnastics student-athlete is selected to receive the Rob & Nancy Northrip Endowed Scholarship at Illinois State, and this year junior Katherine McGowan was chosen for the honor by Redbird head coach Bob Conkling.
"Katie will be an excellent representative for the Northrip Scholarship this year," Conkling said. "Katie was a consistent competitor for us in the uneven bar lineup her freshman year. This past season, she was sidelined with an elbow injury but is working hard to get back into lineup for this upcoming season.
