NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State baseball's fifth-year junior Jake McCaw was named a First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-American®, announced by the organization on Wednesday.
McCaw is the Redbirds' first Academic All-American since Colin Braithwaite in 2018 and the third First-Team honoree in program history (Paul DeJong and Jared Hendren in 2015).
McCaw graduated with a 3.92 GPA in Business Information Systems and holds a 4.00 in his MBA program. He was announced as the Missouri Valley Conference's Scholar-Athlete of the Year on Tuesday. McCaw was named First-Team Scholar-Athlete Team in 2022 and 2021 and was the MVC's Dr.
