ST. LOUIS – Junior Kaylee Martin has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon. This is the first career weekly honor for Martin.
Martin was named the ORU Invitational's Most Valuable Player, after helping the Redbirds post a perfect 3-0 record this past weekend with wins over Little Rock, Oral Roberts and Air Force. Leading ISU in kills each match, Martin set a career-high in five-set kills with 19 in the Redbirds' thrilling win over Air Force on Saturday and added 13 digs for her first career double-double.
