PEORIA – Walt Lemon’s new contract as a two-way player with the Boston Celtics and their G League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws, will preclude him from playing for Always A Brave this year.
Lemon signed his deal Monday after averaging 13.6 points and 6.4 assists in five Summer League games with New Orleans. The former BU guard is in town and will practice with AAB this week, but will not accompany the team to Columbus for Saturday morning’s first-round The Basketball Tournament game against Primetime Players.
“I think everyone associated with Bradley athletics is excited for Walt as he takes another step toward achieving his ultimate goal,” said AAB general manager Bobby Parker.
