NORMAL, Ill. – For the fourth time this season and the third time in as many weeks, Illinois State sophomore gymnast Angelica Labat has been named the Midwest Independent Conference Gymnast of the Week. Overall, this is Labat's sixth MIC Gymnast of the Week honor in her career and her 11th total MIC weekly recognition.
The Chesapeake, Virginia, native won the all-around for the sixth time this season by posting a score of 39.300 in Illinois State's tri-meet win over Southeast Missouri and Lindenwood last Friday. Her win was aided by a first-place finish on vault with a 9.
