ST. LOUIS – Illinois State senior swimmer Katelyn Kresal was one of 10 Missouri Valley Conference student-athletes named a State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award winner for the winter season, league commissioner Doug Elgin announced Tuesday.
The senior from Tinley Park, Illinois, owns a 3.69 cumulative grade-point average and has been named to both the MVC and AFNI academic honor rolls. She has earned the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award and been named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team following each of the past two seasons.
A standout in the community as well, Kresal has volunteered as a Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) representative for the past two years.
