SAN ANTONIO — Illinois State's quest for its first road win was wrecked Saturday by the Roadrunners and their dynamic scorer, Jhivvan Jackson.
The 6-foot junior guard poured in 41 points, including 25 in the first half, to lead Texas-San Antonio to a 89-70 nonconference victory over Illinois State at the Convocation Center.
Jackson entered the game with a 25.5 scoring average and boosted that mark by making 12 of 25 from the field, 5 of 11 from 3-point range and 12 of 12 free throws.
ISU was led by junior forward Keith Fisher III with 20 points.
