ISU's Proctor getting plenty of carries as Robinson watches

“He’s really fast,” Robinson said of junior college transfer Jeff Proctor. “He’s learning our plays and the way we do things. I think he's a really good player.”

After a 205-carry 2018 season that produced 1,290 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, the Redbird coaching staff has relegated Robinson to spectator status for spring drills in order to lessen the pounding on Robinson’s 5-foot-10, 220-pound frame.

Proctor originally attended Iowa State out of Munster (Ind.) High School. He redshirted in 2016 and spent the past two seasons at San Bernadino Valley College. He rushed for 1,154 yards last season while averaging 38.
