NORMAL — Illinois State's basketball coaches have been on the road recruiting since last Friday's upset loss to Indiana State in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
But the season might not be over for the Redbirds.
ISU coach Dan Muller, who just got back in his office Thursday afternoon, said the Redbirds (18-14) are waiting to see if they will receive an invitation to the Vegas 16. That is the newest postseason tournament that will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev., on March 26-30.
The Redbirds earlier turned down invitations to the CollegeInsider.
