COLUMBUS, Ohio – With four golfers making their NCAA Regional debut, the Illinois State women's golf team made a push in the back half of its opening round on Monday morning, carding an opening round of 299, the lowest round for a Redbird women's golf team in an NCAA Regional in program history.

The previous low round for a NCAA Regional came during the opening round of the 2013 NCAA Central Regional at the Jimmie Austin Golf Course in Norman, Oklahoma, as ISU finished with a 301 on the day.

The Redbirds were led by Lory Paradis – one of the four in their opening NCAA Regional – as she finished with an opening round 73 (+1), which is tied for the fifth-lowest NCAA Regional round score in program history.
