NORMAL — A 21-3 victory over Eastern Illinois last Saturday sent the Illinois State football team in opposite directions in the national FCS polls Monday.
The 2-1 Redbirds advanced from 12th to 10th, according to the American Football Coaches Association. But in the STATS list, ISU dropped from No. 13 to No. 15.
Both rankings list North Dakota State, which will play ISU at Hancock Stadium on Oct. 5, first and South Dakota State third.
