NORMAL — James Robinson, Illinois State's All-American tailback, has one season remaining in a Redbird uniform, while all-conference receiver Spencer Schnell has exhausted his eligibility.
“We were looking for a lot of speed,” Redbirds coach Brock Spack said while announcing nine new recruits added to a group secured during the first signing period in December. “We’re very happy where we’re at. We’ve got a lot of athletes who can catch the ball, run with the ball and can play defense as well in the secondary.”
