SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Illinois State's Melker Isaksson and Diego Emilio Moura Herrera were among seven men named to the 2022 Summit League Academic All-League team. Student-athletes were chosen for the award based on their academic and athletic performances during the 2022 season. Drake's Matija Matic and Isaksson earned their second-consecutive accolade.
Isaksson appears on the list for the second-straight year, and currently holds a 4.0 GPA in sustainable/renewable energy at Illinois State. The Lidkoping, Sweden, native posted a 17-12 singles mark on the season and was 3-2 in Summit League matches.
