NORMAL — Illinois State senior tailback James Robinson has received an invitation to the NFL Combine, which is scheduled for Feb. 23 to March 2 in Indianapolis.
The Combine is used by NFL teams to evaluate top college talent leading up to the NFL Draft.
Robinson was a consensus FCS All-American in 2019 after rushing for 1,917 yards and 18 touchdowns to help the Redbirds advance to the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs.
The Rockford native was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl and produced 80 yards rushing, including a 63-yard touchdown, on seven carries and 56 receiving yards on two catches.
