PEORIA, Ill. – The Illinois State volleyball team (24-6, 16-2 MVC) closed out the 2018 regular season with a straight-set defeat to the Bradley Braves (23-7, 13-5 MVC) on Friday night, but has won at least a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title with Evansville's five-set upset of UNI.
The Redbirds finished with a 16-2 mark in Valley play, currently sitting a half of a game ahead of the Panthers. With a UNI loss at Indiana State tomorrow, Illinois State will be the outright champions and will earn the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament next week.
