NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State rising sophomore Jake McCaw has made an impact on the field this summer for the Grand Lake Mariners.
The Bloomington, Illinois, native was the starting first basemen for the Mariners in the Great Lakes Collegiate League. Illinois State teammates, Connor Peplow, Tyson Hays and Justin Diaz joined McCaw on the Mariners, as they finished 17-24 on the year in the Northern Division. McCaw finished the year batting .288/.444/.450 with 32 hits, including nine doubles, three home runs, 28 RBIs and 21 runs.
