Illinois State Has Four-Game Win Streak Snapped; Edged By Valparaiso, 3-2

VALPARAISO, Ind. – The Illinois State baseball team had its four-game winning streak snapped by Valparaiso after a 3-2 defeat Friday at Emory G. Bauer Field.

Fifth-year senior Colton Johnson gave up three runs in the 3rd inning for a line of eight innings, five hits and eight strikeouts for Illinois State (17-23 overall, 7-6 Missouri Valley Conference).

Fifth-year junior Aidan Huggins and fourth-year sophomore Jake McCaw both went 2-for-4. Fourth-year junior Jack Butler recorded two RBIs.

Valparaiso (9-22 overall, 4-9 MVC) was outhit by ISU, 6-5.
