MURRAY, Ky. — Going from an unbeaten opponent to a winless one is a task the Illinois State football team does not plan to gloss over.
After a 33-16 loss to No. 1-ranked North Dakota State last week, the Redbirds try to even their Missouri Valley Football Conference record at 1-1 on Saturday in a 6 p.m. game against Murray State at Roy Stewart Stadium.
The Redbirds are 3-2 overall and slipped slightly to No. 9 in this week's FCS national rankings. The Racers are 0-5 and 0-1 in league play.

"Absolutely, whether we're playing an undefeated team or a winless team, our preparation shouldn't change," jack linebacker Reese Edwards said.
