NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's soccer team was edged by Northwestern after the Wildcats netted a 99th-minute golden goal on Thursday evening at Adelaide Street Field in front of 351 fans.
Junior Katherine Felton put the Redbirds (1-6 overall) up, 1-0, with a 52nd-minute goal, assisted by junior Allison Baker and sophomore Caitlin Shilling.
Shilling played a ball from the left side that Baker kept alive, finding the feet of Felton, whose right-footed shot beat the Northwestern keeper from 15 yards out.
