NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2019 cross country academic awards this afternoon with both the men's and women's Illinois State cross country teams earning All-Academic recognition for the fifth-straight year.
To be eligible for All-Academic distinction, teams must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and must have had a minimum of five runners compete at the NCAA regional meet in November. The Redbird men posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.46, while the women recorded a cumulative team GPA of 3.
