Alston Andrews of Orlando, Fla., has made an oral commitment to the Illinois State basketball team.
Alston Andrews, a 6-foot-9, 200-pound power forward from Orlando, Fla., announced on Twitter he will sign a national letter of intent to play basketball for Illinois State.
Andrews made a recruiting visit to Bloomington-Normal a couple weeks ago and said the campus "gave me a good feeling."
Andrews becomes ISU's first recruit in the Class of 2020 and selected the Redbirds over Elon and Stetson. The one-week fall signing period begins Wednesday. Andrews said he plans to sign either Friday or next Monday.
