MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Illinois State baseball 2019 alum Brent Headrick has been called up to the Minnesota Twins' Major League team, as revealed Sunday morning.
Headrick, who was already on Minnesota's 40-man roster but is being called up to the Major League team for the first time, is expected to serve in a long-relief role, per The Athletic reporter Aaron Gleeman.
Headrick boasts a 3.52 ERA in 184 minor league innings between five different Minor League teams. Headrick has pitched nine innings for the triple-A Rochester Red Wings in 2023. Headrick has 238 minor league strikeouts and a 1.
