Hopes and expectations both high as Illinois State basketball begins practice

NORMAL — Among the precious few college basketball teams to end its season with a victory last season, Illinois State began official practice for a season dripping with both opportunities and expectations Friday at CEFCU Arena.

"We're on a chase," ISU coach Ryan Pedon said. "Being a successful program and having good players, expectations from the outside are part of that. That doesn't define us. It will never define us. We get lost in our own work. We have everything to prove, and it's all there in front of us."
