NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State offensive tackle Drew Himmelman had added another accolade to his impressive resume, as he was selected as a member of the 2020-21 Academic All-America® Division I team selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Monday.
Himmelman, a 2020-21 Second-Team Academic All-America® selection, earned a spot on the squad after being named an Academic All-District® 5 selection by CoSIDA earlier this summer. The Academic All-America® honor is the 11th for a Redbird football player in school history and the first since 2001, when linebacker Adam Waugh was selected for the second-straight time.
