Illinois State junior Juliunn Redmond was tabbed the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week for the third consecutive week, the conference office announced Monday.
Redmond is the first Valley player to earn the Newcomer of the Week honor three weeks in a row since Drake’s Becca Hittner did so in the 2016-17 season.
Redmond collected her second double-double of the season in ISU’s lone game versus Bradley over the weekend, posting a team-high 18 points while also matching her career-high of 11 rebounds and adding two assists and two steals.
Perkins tied for 14th: Senior David Perkins fired rounds of 69-72 for a 3-under-par 141 total and is tied for 14th as Illinois State sits 12th in the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate at Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course in Mobile, Ala.
