Alyssa Wiebel doubled home Kaili Chval with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Illinois State's softball team to a 2-1 victory over North Florida on Sunday to close the FAU Strike-Out Cancer Tournament at Boca Raton, Fla.
ISU finished the rain-shortened tourney at 3-0 to improve its overall record to 6-7.
Morgan Day (3-2) took over in the fifth inning for Mack Leonard and threw 3u2154 innings of hitless relief, striking out six, to get the win. Leonard allowed seven hits and one unearned run in 4u2153 innings, walking four with one strikeout.
