ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- For the third time this season, freshman outside hitter Hannah Thompson (Pekin, Ill./Pekin) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week according to an announcement by the league office Monday afternoon.
The first three-time MVC Freshman of the Week selection in school history, Thompson averaged 2.86 kills per set and hit .262 in a pair of home wins. The 5-8 outside hitter also averaged a team-best 5.71 digs, 0.29 aces and 0.57 blocks per set as she helped Bradley move up into third in the Valley standings with a four-set victory over Loyola and sweep of Valparaiso.
