NORMAL, Ill. – After opening the 2023 season last weekend at Western Michigan, the Illinois State gymnastics team returns home this weekend to host its first two meets of the season. The Redbirds will host fellow Midwest Independent Conference member Lindenwood on Friday at 7 p.m., before competing against Western Michigan for the second time in 2023 on Sunday at 2 p.m.
"Both of our meets this weekend will pose a big challenge," ISU head coach Bob Conkling said. "Lindenwood had their first meet last weekend and scored slightly higher than we did, and Western Michigan beat us on Sunday.
