ST. LOUIS - Illinois State junior goalkeeper Dani Grgas was named one of 12 recipients of the fall 2022 State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Grgas, a native of Henderson, Nevada, carries a 3.92 GPA with a major in business administration. She appeared in seven games for the Redbirds during the 2022 season, including four starts in the net. She posted Illinois State's only clean sheet of the year in a 0-0 draw with Valparaiso at Adelaide Street Field Oct. 6. Off the field, Grgas is the president of Illinois State's Student Athlete Advisory Council and is also a member of Redbirds 4 Change, a group dedicated to bringing positive change in Athletics, on ISU's campus and in the community.
