ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands — Alessandro Lever scored 23 points and Isiah Brown added 21 as Grand Canyon beat Illinois State, 68-63, on Monday in the Paradise Jam seventh-place game.
Zach Copeland paced ISU with 21 points and also had five rebounds and four assists. Dedric Boyd contributed 10 points.
The Redbirds lost their fourth straight game, including all three in the Paradise Jam, and dropped to 2-4. ISU entertains Illinois-Springfield at 2 p.m. Friday at Redbird Arena.
