ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Junior guard Gabi Haack (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) has been named one of 10 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Good Neighbor Award Winter recipients according to a recent announcement by the league office.
The Valley recognizes 10 student-athletes three times annually, honoring the achievements of exceptional student-athletes through the Good Neighbor Award. In order to be eligible, the student-athlete must be in good academic standing, must demonstrate good citizenship through good sportsmanship and significant community service, and must participate in a sport during the season of recognition.
A First-Team All-MVC selection last year as a sophomore, Haack has been named the MVC Player of the Week three times this season while helping the Braves to the first back-to-back 20-win seasons in program history.
