PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior outfielder Gabby Stoner (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) has been named the Bradley COUNTRY Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping Bradley Softball to a 4-1 record at last week's Troy Cox Classic in Las Cruces, N.M.
Stoner hit a team-best .538 for the weekend, going 7-for-13 with four runs, three RBI, one triple and a home run. She also drew four walks and boasted a .647 on base percentage in four outings. She opened the week with a 1-for-2 effort with a run in a win against Montana and went 2-for-4 with a RBI in a win against New Mexico State later that same day.
