NORMAL, Ill. – The final day of the 2021 Redbird Invite wrapped up with several consolation championship wins in singles for the Redbird and a pair of strong finishes in doubles at the Gregory Street Courts.
"We continued with good doubles play today and showed improvement in singles as well," ISU head coach Maja Kovacek stated. "Overall, we got a lot out of the first tournament of the fall season and really enjoyed the home atmosphere."
Doubles matches got things started once again, with the No. 1 doubles team of Tijana Zlatanovic and Maria Potsi taking second place overall after being defeated in a tiebreaker in the championship match by the team from DePaul.
