IOWA CITY, Iowa – At Saturday's Jimmy Grant Invite, hosted by Iowa, the Illinois State men's and women's track and field teams opened the 2018-19 season on a high note, capturing eight individual event wins and posting nine ISU all-time top-10 performances. The Redbirds received a huge boost from the jumps and throws squads, who accounted for half of the individual event wins and seven of the all-time top-10 marks.
"Overall, we had quite a few event wins and I was very impressed with our depth in the field events," said Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Jeff Bovee.
