FALL CAMP REPORT: Efficiency Key In Second Scrimmage

NORMAL, Ill. – Last Saturday's scrimmage was tough one for the Redbird football program, lasting nearly two hours and consisting of over 100 plays. As camp nears its end, this week's intrasquad matchup was much more efficient at 70 plays on a windy Saturday morning at Hancock Stadium.

Scrimmage Notes:
• Various scenarios were covered during this week's scrimmage, including live kickoff coverages in both directions to account for the strong winds at the stadium, driving the field, red-zone work and 2-minute situations.
• The defense combined for four sacks, 14 tackles-for-loss, six pass breakups, and two interceptions on the day, while the Redbird quarterbacks averaged 7.
