ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Sophomore outfielder Erika Hansen (Fillmore, Calif./Moorpark) has been named a preseason All-Missouri Valley Conference selection as voted by the MVC coaches according to an announcement by the league office Wednesday.
Hansen was a Third-Team NFCA All-Mideast Regional and First-Team All-Valley honoree last year as a freshman. The first freshman in school history to earn all-region honors, she had a conference-leading 20 doubles last spring which were the most in the MVC since 1999.
A .369 hitter in 2015, Hansen was the first player in conference history with 30 runs, 55 hits, 20 doubles, 40 RBI and 30 or more walks in a season.
